"The cap maketh the man" or woman! Wonderful hats and caps worn through the ages. From the Wars of the Roses to the bloody field of Culloden. From bold border Reivers to the wars of the three Kingdoms!! Over the sea to the North American French wars and back to the sailors of the Britain!
Hand crafted 100% wool hats and caps for re-enactors, film, stage and museums. I specialize, mainly, in the 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries but I am continually introducing head wear from other periods.
All my caps and hats are hand-knitted to an extremely high standard, before being felted to give an authentic look. The wool is from British rare-breed sheep of all varieties, some natural, some dyed, so my range of colours is wide and varied.
If you are looking for a particular hat or cap from any period I can supply. If you are unsure as to the type of hat or cap you are looking for, I can advise. Then all I need is head size and preferred colour.
